Napoli endured a painful 3-2 loss at home to Bologna in the 36th round of Serie A, in a match filled with intense drama and multiple lead changes.
Federico Bernardeschi opened the scoring for Bologna in the 10th minute with a powerful shot from outside the box that nestled into the top corner. Riccardo Orsolini doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 34th minute, after the referee confirmed the decision via VAR. Just before halftime, Giovanni Di Lorenzo pulled one back for Napoli in the second minute of stoppage time, following up inside the area.
Immediately after the break, Alexis Saelemaekers equalized for Napoli after a pass from Rasmus Hojlund. The score remained level until the 93rd minute, when Jonathan Rowe struck a dramatic winner for Bologna.
This result leaves Napoli in second place with 70 points, while Bologna sit eighth with 52 points.
