The Oklahoma City Thunder completed a 4-0 sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 4 of the Western Conference second-round playoff series on Tuesday, winning 115-110 on the road.
Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander delivered a spectacular performance, leading all scorers with 35 points and adding eight assists. He shot 11-of-22 from the field and 12-of-15 from the free-throw line in 39 minutes.
After the game, Gilgeous-Alexander reflected on facing the 41-year-old LeBron James, saying: “It’s unbelievable to see him play at this level at his age. I’m honestly at a loss for words to describe what he’s doing. I’m not sure we’ll ever see another legend like him in the future.”
He also expressed appreciation for the competitive series: “It was great that both teams gave the fans such a high-level battle. This was a fun, back-and-forth contest where everyone left it all on the floor. All the players deserve respect.”
