Sunderland are reportedly considering an unexpected approach for Manchester United winger Amad Diallo ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Black Cats have made an impressive return to the Premier League and could finish the season in the top half of the table. However, despite their strong campaign, the club is planning a major spending spree in the summer, as replicating their success next season will be challenging.
Sunderland previously had Amad Diallo on loan during their Championship days, where he contributed 14 goals and assists in a single season. He was highly praised by the club’s supporters at the time, and the club dreams of bringing him back to the Stadium of Light this summer.
Amad has lost his starting spot at Manchester United, with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha outperforming him from wide positions. With United planning more attacking signings, the Ivorian could be tempted to reunite with the Black Cats during the upcoming window.
