The two demands that Benfica head coach José Mourinho would make if he were to return to Real Madrid have been revealed, according to AS.
First, Mourinho would want a say in the club’s transfer decisions. This does not necessarily mean influencing which specific players are signed, but rather having a voice in determining which positions need strengthening.
Second, the Portuguese coach insists that the hierarchy and workflow of all club departments must be strictly respected. The aim is to prevent scenarios similar to those that occurred this season between winger Vinícius Júnior and former head coach Xabi Alonso.
Mourinho previously managed Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, during which time he won the Spanish league title, as well as the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.
